Costa Adeje Tenerife

Jet Ski Costa Adeje

Tenerife's most popular jet ski coast

Costa Adeje is the heart of Tenerife's jet ski scene — calm turquoise bays, five-star beach resorts, and the island's main water-sports marina at Puerto Colón all sit within a 10-minute walk of each other. Whether you want a quick 30-minute blast off Playa del Duque or a full two-hour safari along the volcanic south-west coast, this is where most riders start.

Jet Ski Hire Costa Adeje — What to Expect

Costa Adeje's south-facing coastline gives you the calmest water in Tenerife for most of the year. The bays around Playa del Duque and Fañabé are sheltered by headlands, which means glassy morning conditions and gentle afternoon chop — perfect for first-time riders and families. The marina at Puerto Colón is the busiest departure point on the island, with Yamaha WaveRunner and Sea-Doo fleets available daily. You can book a jet ski hire session without a licence (our instructors handle the paperwork), rent for 30 or 60 minutes close to shore, or join a guided safari that heads out towards La Caleta, Palm-Mar and — on longer trips — the Los Gigantes cliffs. Hotel pickup is available from every major Costa Adeje resort, and the pickup point is just 200 metres from the marina's main gate.

Jet Ski Rental Costa Adeje — Routes & Highlights

From Costa Adeje you ride parallel to the most dramatic stretch of Tenerife's south-west coast. On a 60-minute rental you'll pass the volcanic black-sand coves below Bahía del Duque, the private cliffs of La Caleta, and the quiet Playa Diego Hernández. On a 2-hour safari you'll continue west toward Palm-Mar and the whale-and-dolphin protected zone, where resident pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins are spotted on roughly 9 out of 10 trips. The water here is Atlantic-clear, averaging 20-24°C depending on season, and visibility reaches 20-30 metres — so you can often see the seabed from the jet ski. Sunset rides in summer (7pm–9pm) are especially popular: the coastline glows orange and the wind drops to almost nothing.
