From Costa Adeje you ride parallel to the most dramatic stretch of Tenerife's south-west coast. On a 60-minute rental you'll pass the volcanic black-sand coves below Bahía del Duque, the private cliffs of La Caleta, and the quiet Playa Diego Hernández. On a 2-hour safari you'll continue west toward Palm-Mar and the whale-and-dolphin protected zone, where resident pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins are spotted on roughly 9 out of 10 trips. The water here is Atlantic-clear, averaging 20-24°C depending on season, and visibility reaches 20-30 metres — so you can often see the seabed from the jet ski. Sunset rides in summer (7pm–9pm) are especially popular: the coastline glows orange and the wind drops to almost nothing.
