Jet Ski Los Cristianos
The classic south-coast family bay
Los Cristianos is Tenerife's original fishing port and still one of the quietest corners of the south coast. The semi-circular bay is naturally sheltered by the Montaña de Guaza headland, which means lighter wind, smaller swell, and water that stays warm later into autumn than anywhere else on the island. It's the calmest ride on the island — perfect for 1-hour rentals, families and anyone nervous about their first jet ski.
Jet Ski Hire Los Cristianos — Calm Bay Rides
The bay of Los Cristianos sits in a natural wind shadow. While the trade winds can kick up chop off Las Américas by 2pm, Los Cristianos stays glassy until evening. That makes it the safest first-ride location on the island — you'll learn the controls in flat water, not fighting swell. The bay is also close enough to Palm-Mar and the whale-and-dolphin zone that a 1-hour rental actually reaches the dolphins, which isn't true from any other departure point. We pick you up from your Los Cristianos hotel (complimentary) and drive the 10 minutes to Puerto Colón marina where the session starts.

Jet Ski Rental Los Cristianos — Routes & Highlights
The 1-hour circuit from Puerto Colón loops south along the coast to Montaña de Guaza, crosses the mouth of Los Cristianos bay, and pushes out past the ferry harbour toward Palm-Mar. You'll pass Playa de Las Vistas (the main golden-sand beach), the old fishing harbour where the Gomera ferry docks, and the volcanic cliffs under Guaza. On clear days the outline of La Gomera island sits on the horizon 30 km away. The safari routes from here head west toward Los Gigantes — 45 minutes each way — and come back via the dolphin zone.

Yes. Los Cristianos is protected by the Montaña de Guaza headland, which blocks the prevailing NE trade winds. The water stays flat until late afternoon, while Las Américas can get choppy by 1-2pm in summer.
Yes — Los Cristianos is the closest departure point to the whale-and-dolphin protected zone at Palm-Mar. About 8 out of 10 hour-long tours see pilot whales or bottlenose dolphins.
1-hour rentals from €70 (single rider) or €90 (double). That includes fuel, life jacket, certified instructor and hotel pickup. There's no 30-minute option from here because the travel time to open water uses up a short session.
