Las Galletas Tenerife

Jet Ski Las Galletas

The authentic fishing village of Tenerife's south-east

Las Galletas is a working fishing village 10 km east of the busy resort strip. Narrow harbour, colourful painted boats, seafood restaurants filled with locals — this is what the south coast looked like before the resorts arrived. For jet skiing it's less a departure point and more a ride-destination: you come here to escape the crowds.

Jet Ski Las Galletas — Crowd-Free Alternative

Most jet ski traffic on Tenerife is funnelled through Puerto Colón, so the east coast toward Las Galletas sees far fewer skis. The water between Golf del Sur, Amarilla Golf and Las Galletas is open Atlantic — more exposed to trade winds than the sheltered west coast, but on calm mornings it's some of the cleanest riding on the island. We don't operate a base at Las Galletas itself (too small) — you get picked up from your hotel in the area and driven 15 minutes to Puerto Colón marina, then the ride heads east-southeast to the Las Galletas coastline.

Jet Ski Route to Las Galletas — Eastern Coast

The route heads east from Puerto Colón, passing El Médano's wind-surfing beaches and the airport approach lights. You ride past Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf's cliffs, then round into the harbour entrance at Las Galletas. The old fishing village looks almost medieval from the water — painted boats, a small stone pier and whitewashed houses rising into the volcanic hills. On calm days the route continues to Montaña Roja at El Médano. This is a longer hour-plus ride because of the distance from Puerto Colón — not a 30-minute option.

FAQ — Las Galletas

All departures start from Puerto Colón marina, pantalán 9 — about 15 minutes by car from Las Galletas. We provide free pickup from any hotel in the Las Galletas, Golf del Sur or Amarilla Golf areas.

Las Galletas harbour is a protected fishing port — no commercial jet ski operators launch from there. The nearest licensed launch point is Puerto Colón, which is where we operate.

Usually not — the east coast is more exposed to the NE trade winds. Morning rides (before 11am) are typically flat, but afternoons can get choppy. The west coast (toward Los Gigantes) tends to stay calmer longer.

We recommend it for riders who've done at least one session before. The route is longer and more exposed than the Costa Adeje loops, so comfort with open-water conditions helps. Passengers (8+) are fine — no experience needed.
